At Big Business Bears ("we", "us", or "our"), your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Veto application (the "App") and any related services. By using Veto, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We believe in minimal data collection and storing as much information as possible locally on your device. We may collect and process the following categories of information:
- Provided Information: Account creation data such as your Apple ID details (if you choose to use Sign in with Apple) and basic profile setup details.
- App Usage & Fasting Data: Information relating to your fasting periods, snack behaviors, streaks, XP, Active Defense progress, and general settings within Veto. This data is primarily stored locally via Core Data and synced securely using Apple's iCloud if enabled.
- Diagnostic Data: Crash reports and usage analytics, strictly completely anonymized, to help us identify bugs and improve the App's performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used exclusively to improve your experience within Veto. We use your data to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App's core functionality.
- Sync your fasting progress and statistics securely across your devices through iCloud.
- Send administrative information such as updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Understand user behavior anonymously to introduce new features and usability enhancements.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your personal fasting data and app progress are stored locally on your device and are synced using your personal Apple iCloud account. We do not maintain traditional external servers that warehouse this personal behavioral data. As a result, your information is protected by Apple's extensive security infrastructure. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard any data occasionally handled outside this environment.
4. Third-Party Services
Veto utilizes third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
- Apple (App Store & iCloud): Data syncing is processed by Apple. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for more information.
5. Your Choices and Data Deletion
You maintain full control over your data. Because most of your data is stored locally and on your iCloud:
- You can delete your fasting records and app data directly within the Veto app settings.
- You can manage your Veto iCloud data from your device's Apple ID settings.
- Uninstalling the app will stop all future data collection and remove locally stored data.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any major changes by noting the new date at the top of this policy or via an in-app notification.
